The Discovery
The Moment That Changed Everything
Cataloging my father's collection after his passing uncovered a genuine Roman denarius of the type commonly called the "Tribute Penny" — one of the coin types often associated with the coin discussed in Matthew 22:19–21, though the Gospel does not identify a specific issue. This discovery proved authenticated ancient coins can be accessible to modern collectors, not just museums.
