Large 68mm bronze medal issued in 1925 by the Compagnie Franco-Brésilienne de Cafés, a Paris-based import firm that played a role in strengthening commercial ties between France and Brazil during the height of the interwar coffee boom. Designed by the artist Ch. Pillet, this impressive medal captures the elegance and optimism of 1920s European decorative style.

The obverse features a semi-draped female allegorical figure holding a branch, symbolizing agricultural abundance and prosperity. Her classical yet flowing form bridges late Art Nouveau sensibilities with the emerging Art Deco aesthetic of the period. The reverse presents refined floral and ornamental motifs rendered in clean, balanced composition — a distinctly Parisian expression of commercial pride and artistic sophistication.

In the 1920s, Brazil dominated global coffee production, supplying the vast majority of the world’s beans, while France stood among Europe’s most enthusiastic consumer markets. Corporate medals like this were not currency, but prestige objects — distributed to commemorate partnerships, celebrate trade success, and reinforce international business relationships.

Struck in substantial bronze and preserved in uncirculated condition, this medal embodies the energy of the Roaring Twenties — when global commerce, artistic innovation, and optimism converged in burnished metal.
